In a recent unfortunate event, a Filipino seafarer has lost his life on board Disney cruise ship. Reportedly, 255 people onboard a Disney cruise ship have tested positive according to recent reports.
Mr. Ragodon, the deceased seafarer previously didn’t undergo COVID testing and will now be tested for the virus according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Mr Ragodon was on the Disney Wonder throughout March and April, cruising through the Panama Canal in initial June, and reaching various seaports in the Caribbean in Barbados and Jamaica.
On June 13th, Mr Ragodon posted on Facebook: “Goodbye fellow Filipino crew…transffered to Disney Dream to wait for their chartered flight going home on June?? Me…i will stay on board until ???”
Meanwhile, Disney Wonder has emerged as one of the largest COVID-19 outbreaks on a cruise ship. No less than 255 people are suspected to be COVID positive. At least 3 passengers have passed away till date due to COVID-19.
The fact, however, remains unclear whether Mr Ragodon was tested for Coronavirus or not. Disney reportedly tested all the crew members onboard the cruise in early May where 203 crew tested positive for the virus out of 737.
