Crew Member Had A Brush With Death When He Fell Overboard Trying To Secure The Gangway

A Filipino individual, a crew member, was rescued after he had gone overboard from Le Lyrial, a Ponant Expeditions cruise vessel, while it was mooring at the port of Ushuaia in Argentina.

The 59-year-old individual fell into the water on Friday, 10 February, while trying to secure the gangway as the vessel attempted to Moore, reported

Experienced rescue swimmers from the fire station and prefectural rescue successfully recovered the crew member, whose identity wasn’t disclosed.

The man was injured and moved to a hospital, where he was kept under observation.
