CMA CGM Launches ‘My Daily Impact’ Environmental Engagement Platform
The CMA CGM Group, a world market leader in shipping and logistics, has launched MY DAILY IMPACT, a platform that aims to take concrete action to protect the environment. Designed specifically for the Group’s staff members, the program offers educational content to allow for better understanding of climate issues, customized tools to assess each individual’s carbon footprint and individual and group challenges to limit staff members’ impact on the environment in their day-to-day activities.
These challenges may even make it possible to raise funds to support charities and organizations involved in protecting the environment. With a pre-launch in November among 400 first-time users in 52 different countries, MY DAILY IMPACT has already allowed for a saving of more than 14 tons of CO2 equivalent in the space of four months, equal to 70 return car trips between Marseille and Barcelona.
Two start-ups with impact, WeNow and Mão Boa, are working with CMA CGM on this initiative, providing their CSR expertise as well as innovative educational and digital platforms.
Goals include reducing journeys by motorized vehicles, decreasing digital pollution (deleting emails deleting unused data on servers, etc.) and plastic consumption.
