China’s Ningbo Zhoushan Port Globally Ranks First In Cargo Throughput
The busiest port in China, the Port of Ningbo Zhoushan, located in east China’s Zhejiang Province, witnessed its cargo throughput reportedly exceed 1.25 billion tons in 2022, securing the first position worldwide — for the 14th consecutive year, per the port.
The port’s container throughput touched 33.35 million 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in 2022, ranking third worldwide.
