Bahri Leads Push For Saudi Arabia’s Entry Into IMO Executive Council

In line with its constant support to Saudi government initiatives and the role it is playing in accelerating the international maritime trade growth, senior representatives from Bahri joined other members of a KSA delegation recently in participating in board meetings of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which took place at the agency’s headquarters in London, UK. The meetings come as part of the Kingdom’s preparations to submit its candidacy for the membership of the IMO Council under Category (C).

Senior Bahri officials who participated in the discussions included Wael Al-Sarhan, Senior Vice President – Marketing, and Abdulaziz Sabri, Vice President, Bahri Ship Management.

As part of its efforts to showcase the progress made by Saudi Arabia in improving maritime safety and infrastructure and present the Kingdom’s case for election to the Council – which is the apex body responsible for supervising the work of the Organization – Bahri hosted a breakfast meeting for IMO members yesterday during which the attendees reviewed the efforts initiated by the various stakeholders.
