A Fishing Vessel Sank Following A Collision With A Danish Cargo Ship In Italy
A general cargo vessel named MIKA collided with a local fishing vessel at about 0515 LT on 19 Oct. The accident occurred about 11 nm off Ravenna in Italy while MIKA was sailing to Ravenna from Rasa, Croatia. The fishing vessel eventually sank. MIKA rescued five fishermen who were on board and resumed sailing. It was berthed at Ravenna and is undergoing cargo operations as of 15.30 LT.
