Key responsibilities:

1. Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading it to a computer

2. Following a script, screenplay, or outline

3. Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs (subtitles)

4. Inputting graphics to enhance footage

5. Digitally splicing the video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file

6. Improving and correcting lighting, colouring, and faulty footage

7. Working closely with the video content manager to present a final product that matches his or her vision

Who can apply:

1. Proven work experience as a video editor

2. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, etc.)

3. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

4. Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity

5. Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing

6. Creative mind and storytelling skills

7. Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field

Salary:

Probation:

Duration: 4 months
Salary during probation: INR 10,000 – 20,000 /month

After probation:

Annual CTC: INR 3 – 3.2 LPA
