The US Navy recently intercepted and destroyed Houthi-launched drones and missiles in the Red Sea.

On June 1, 2024, US Centcom forces destroyed a Houthi-launched uncrewed aerial system (UAS) in the southern Red Sea.

Two more drones were observed crashing into the Red Sea waters, posing an imminent threat to naval and commercial vessels.

Later that day, US Centcom forces engaged and neutralized two Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles aimed at the USS Gravely.
