American multinational company Boeing recently delivered to the U.S. Navy the first Extra Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) named "Orca"

The extra-large unmanned undersea vessels (XLUUVs) can travel great distances and place mines without endangering sailors.

This autonomous undersea vehicle is capable of spending long periods of time underwater and is fitted with the capability of taking on modules that can be up to 10 meters long.

With a top speed of 15 km/h, Orca can scour the waters for distances well in excess of 10,000 km at a time.

The unnamed vessel, apart from being the biggest autonomous submarine ever constructed, is also the world’s most capable and advanced UUV.

Orca is a fully autonomous undersea vehicle that can operate independently of a host vehicle.

Orca has undergone several phases of at-sea testing, including above and below-surface maneuvers to demonstrate the vehicles’ unique capabilities.
