Ukraine Destroys & Sinks Russian Submarine Anchored At Crimean Port

The Ukrainian military is claiming to have destroyed the Russian submarine Rostov-on-Don.

According to Ukraine, the Kilo-class submarine, was sunk in a missile attack on the port city of Sevastopol.

The Rostov-on-Don, built in 2014, was one of the Black Sea Fleet’s four submarines capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet responded to the incident, and CNN was unable verify the claim independently.

The strike on Rostov-on-Don comes after a series of successful Ukrainian operations against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

Ukrainian claim that one-third of Russia’s navy vessels in the Black Sea have been disabled or destroyed.

As Ukraine continues its attack, the situation remains volatile, with serious consequences for regional security and international relations.
