The USS Robert E. Simanek (ESB 7) is the latest addition to the Expeditionary Sea Base class, designed for versatile military operations.

ESB class ships support Airborne Mine Countermeasures, Crisis Response, Special Operations, and Unmanned Aviation Systems.

Equipped with a large flight deck, the ESB can accommodate V-22 Osprey aircraft, with aviation facilities, hangars, and mission decks.
