India’s First Green Hydrogen Plant—A Game Changer for Clean Energy!
India is gearing up to launch its first-ever Green Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant at Kandla Port, Gujarat. This marks a major leap toward a clean energy future.
The plant will harness solar and wind power to produce hydrogen—offering a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels in industries like transport, steel, and power.
With a production capacity of up to 90 tonnes annually, this facility will play a critical role in reducing carbon emissions and boosting India’s green energy ambitions.
The Deendayal Port Authority has partnered with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to manufacture electrolyzers—the key component in hydrogen production.
L&T has already proven its expertise with a successful 1MW Green Hydrogen Plant in Hazira. Now, it’s bringing that innovation to Kandla.
Once operational, the plant will not only drive clean energy adoption but also create jobs, attract global investment, and expand into green ammonia production.
India’s clean energy revolution has begun—this project is just the start of a future powered by hydrogen!
