Video: Launching of Largest Heavy-Lifter Ship Jumbo Kinetic (HD Quality)
Last month we published an article on the launching of the the world’s largest “heavy lifter” ship Jumbo Kinetic built by the Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia.
Jumbo Kinetic, the biggest ship of its type with the most sophisticated equipment, is first in a series of revolutionary new K3000 vessels for the Dutch company Jumbo Maritime Heavylift. The ship has large, unobstructed hold and flush decks and is certified 1A Finnish Swedish Ice Class, for operations in Arctic areas. Outfitted with dual 1,500t mast cranes will enable the vessel with lifting power of up to 3,000t at an outreach of 20m.
Jumbo Maritime Heavylift has made a spectacular video on the launching of the biggest heavy lift vessel Jumbo Kinetic. The HD quality video features great arial views of the shipyard and some mind-blowing camera work, greatly complimented by the background music.

Is there someone technically inclined, who knows if the whole ship (or rather the sled) is held in place by the tiny release mechanism seen at 1:56/57 – or is it something different?
