Video: Cargo Ship Sunk To Make New Artificial Reef
The Kinta S. cargo ship was sunk on September 17, 2014 in order to create a new artificial reef 8 miles off of the coast of Mustang Island.
Funding was provided by the Saltwater Fisheries Enhancement Association and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. UTMSI professor, Dr. Brad Erisman, and his videographer colleague Alfredo Barroso Ruiz were onsight to film the event.
