Port Of Hamburg Welcomes Ocean Network Express’ First ‘Pink Lady’ ONE Community
With her striking magenta colour design, she’s a real eye-catcher in the Port of Hamburg. With a length of 320 metres and slot capacity of 8,102 TEU – 20-ft standard containers, Ocean Network Express – ONE shipping group’s ‘ONE Continuity’ may not be among the biggest container ships ever seen in the Port of Hamburg, but her unorthodox colour scheme has everybody staring and cameras clicking like mad.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome and to clear ONE’s first containership in the new corporate livery here in Hamburg,” said Jan Holst, Director Germany & Central Europe. “With the novel magenta colour scheme, we are making this a memorable call for ONE.
This, for the shipping industry very unorthodox colour underlines our claim to do things differently and to create something new. Yet along with a striking brand presence, we continue to put our worldwide customers at the forefront of our activities,” added Holst.
The ‘ONE Continuity’ reached the Port of Hamburg on Friday, 26 October, and was handled at HHLA’s Container Terminal Altenwerder – CTA. The rose-coloured containership is deployed on ONE’s FE1 – Far East-Europe 1 liner service, linking Hamburg weekly with the Japanese ports of Kobe, Nagoya, Shimizu and Tokyo. Additional ports served on a weekly basis by FE 1 are Singapore, Jeddah and in Europe, apart from Hamburg: Southampton, Le Havre and Rotterdam.
