NYK Vessel Saves 37 Lives In Danger In The Mediterranean Sea
A pure car and truck carrier (abbreviated the PCTC), Rhea Leader, owned and operated by the NYK, rescued 37 in distress off the island of Crete, located in the Mediterranean Sea, close to 14:26 (per local time) on 20 January.
The vessel was moving westward, aiming toward the Strait of Gibraltar in the Mediterranean Sea, when the vessel got a request from the Greek authorities are likely to rescue those who were in distress.
The Rhea Leader sailed to reach the scene immediately and saved 37 individuals. All were in good health and safely disembarked at 19:40 on the same day at the port of Paleochora in Crete.
