Newly Released Body Cam Video Shows Moments After Baltimore’s Key Bridge Collapse
A body camera video captured the reactions of the first responders in the aftermath of the Baltimore bridge collapse in March, where six men lost their lives.
The recordings, gathered by the local media on Friday, show officers from Maryland’s Natural Resources Police incredulous as they neared the incident site.
In the video, an individual can be heard saying that it is bad that the bridge no longer exists.
The Baltimore Banner shared the video as the boat moved toward the collapsed bridge.
An officer is heard saying that something is missing from the skyline.

The centre span is missing entirely. And that it is in the water.
Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge reportedly collapsed into the waters of the Patapsco River on 26 March early morning, taking the lives of six who were working on the span when a massive container vessel unexpectedly lost power and slammed into one of the support columns of the bridge.
Last month, the FBI initiated a comprehensive criminal investigation into the collapse that halted traffic at the Port of Baltimore.
The port is a significant trade hub, accounting for almost 28% of US coal exports in 2023.
In video clips, a responder said that they had heard several numbers.
They are unsure how many individuals were in the water and needed rescue.
Officers trying to ascertain the injuries could be heard questioning if all were okay, while the response from the vessel’s crew members cannot be heard clearly on the video.
