Last Body Found From Sunken Sicily Superyacht, All 6 Missing Guests Reported Dead

The Italian Rescue Teams have found the body of the last victim near the sunken superyacht off the coast of Sicily which confirms that all 6 passengers are dead.

With this, the search and rescue reached a sad conclusion, as the final person’s body was found in the wreckage of the superyacht that sank off the coast of the island.

The 6 passengers which included a famous tech tycoon and his family and also Morgan Stanley International’s chair, are reported dead in the accident.

On August 23, 2024, divers and rescuers found the body of the final victim and before him, the body of Mike Lynch, called ‘British Bill Gates’ was retrieved.

The body of his teenage daughter Hannah was also found. Angela Bacares, Lynch’s wife was saved before the yacht flipped.

It was carrying 22 people, including 10 crew members and 12 guests. 4 bodies were found on Wednesday, the fifth shortly after and now the sixth has also been found.

Those identified earlier as missing include Jonathan Bloomer, Chairman of Morgan Stanley International, his wife Judy, and New York City lawyer Christopher Morvillo who played a big role in Lynch’s legal case and his wife Neda.

The priority is to find out what happened to the missing people and recover any bodies, a source told the media. Till now, nobody has been placed under investigation as until the bodies are found, they cannot evaluate any accusation or charges.

The tragic incident happened on August 19 when the superyacht was struck by a waterborne tornado and lost stability which led to its sinking.

British tech magnate Mike Lynch was on the yacht, celebrating with his family members and associates after his acquittal in the Hewlett-Packard fraud case.

After the incident, 15 people were saved and one body was found initially which was identified to be Chef Recaldo Thomas.
