India’s First-Ever Cruise Ship Sets Sail From Chennai To Sri Lanka
The inaugural cruise vessel from India to Sri Lanka set sail from the country’s Chennai Port on Monday. The luxury vessel will arrive at Hambantota Port of Sri Lanka on 7 June. It will then proceed to Trincomalee before returning to Chennai on 9 June.
The Cordelia Empress offers a host of amenities as well as entertainment options, including a luxury shopping hub, pubs, a food court, a swimming pool, a casino, a large play area, luxury spas, and also theatres. Such a lavish experience aims at attracting tourists who seek a memorable travel experience.
Over the next four months, the cruise vessel plans to cater to almost 50,000 guests travelling to Sri Lanka from India. The new venture will also enhance tourism and bolster maritime connections between the two nations.
