Fifth Body Recovered From The Francis Scott Key Bridge Collapse Site In Baltimore
Authorities have retrieved the body of a fifth victim from the wreckage site as the recovery process of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse continues.
Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez, 49, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, was identified as the most recent victim in this tragic occurrence.
Unified Command salvage teams worked tirelessly amid the wreckage and achieved a critical breakthrough when they discovered one of the missing construction vehicles.
This discovery prompted an instant notification to the Maryland Department of State Police.
Following that, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police and the FBI worked together to remove Gonzalez’s body from a submerged red truck.
Colonel Roland L. Butler, Jr., the superintendent of the Maryland Department of State Police, expressed unwavering support for the ongoing recovery efforts while noting the tremendous loss felt by the families involved.

Colonel Butler stated that they remain dedicated to the continuous recovery operations, remembering that behind each victim is a loving family.
He also asked everyone to extend their condolences and prayers to the families during this challenging time.
The Key Bridge collapse, caused by a collision with the Singaporean-flagged container vessel M/V Dali on March 26, has halted the region.
The bridge connecting Hawkins Point and Dundalk, Maryland, collapsed into the lower Patapsco River, disrupting maritime traffic into and out of the Port of Baltimore.
Eight road crew workers took a break from repairing potholes when the bridge collapsed.
While two workers were rescued, efforts to locate the remaining missing individuals are underway.
So far, the bodies of Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez (49-year-old), Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval (35-year-old), Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes (35-year-old), Dorlian Castillo Cabrera (26-year-old), and an unidentified fourth victim have been discovered.
While authorities continue their rigorous efforts, the community stands in solidarity with the grieving families, giving sympathies and support during this difficult time.
