Apart from providing a glimpse of important maritime matters and lives of those working at the sea, Marine Insight is also devoted at researching and explaining various technical and non-technical aspects of the shipping industry.

raunekRaunek Kantharia is a marine engineer turned maritime writer and professional blogger. After a brief stint at the sea, he founded Marine Insight in 2010. Apart from managing Marine Insight, he also writes for a number of maritime magazines and websites.

mohitMohit Kaushik is a marine engineer sailing with Maersk Shipping.  He handles website development and technical support at Marine Insight. Apart from handling web development projects, he also manages a logistics company and have a keen interest in modern logistic technologies .

He is currently working with Dynacom Tankers Ltd on their Bulk Carriers division and has served in past with Wallems Ship Mgmt on Car Carriers and PCTC’s, MSC Ship Mgmt on Containers, Univan Ship Mgmt on RoRo’s and Five Stars Shipping on Bulkers and SNP Ship Mgmt on General Cargo at various designations.

 

Amitava Chakrabarty – Marine Pilot/Writer-Poet

He has contributed articles, travelogues, letters, stories and poems in leading newspapers and magazines in India, has penned two anthologies of poetry ( Solitude / So I Used Gray And Other Poems ) and has co authored a children’s story book – Inspirational stories for Children Vol-3.
