Watch: Breaking A Boat On A Champagne Bottle – Revenge of the Champagne
For centuries, champagne bottles have been smashed against the hulls of ships—their precious content lost forever. Several champagne bottles have been lost during ship launching ceremonies, a naval tradition that has been followed since the start of shipping.
But some champagne fans did not like this and so they decided to take a revenge by breaking a boat against a champagne bottle instead of other way round.
Hanseatisches Wein und Sekt Kontor, Germany’s leading wine and champagne retailer, took the revenge on behalf of the champagne by breaking a boat against the world’s largest Pommery bottle.
